Towards culturally safe holistic healthcare for Indigenous peoples experiencing homelessness in Montréal

A September 23 single-hospital study combined a survey of 151 healthcare workers with interviews of 19 managers and clinicians. Staff reported limited practical knowledge, partial understanding of colonial trauma, stereotypes and racism, while community collaboration emerged as a proposed strategy. A 29% survey response, nonprobability sampling, social-desirability and service-selection bias, one site, and no patient outcome measures preclude causal or effectiveness claims. The study supplies international comparative evidence, not a Bay Area estimate.
